Wow, hard to believe that the month of August is nearly over! Pretty much just a week and a half remaining and then that's it. Also with the onslaught of September school is starting as well, both for my daughter and me as well. And by me as well I mean I work at a university and the fall Semester actually starts not next week, but the week after. For my daughter, her school starts ...

Xalay was kneeling on the ground unable to see anything around her. She tried putting her hand in front of her face and found that she was incapable of even making out her fingers. She touched her face, checking to see if her eyelids were open. They were. "What is going on," she wondered. A low rumble sounded somewhere above her, and slowly it got louder, until finally it roared above her head. She could ...

Oh man, it's the fourteenth and I have little to say. I'm not ready to do the next post of my story yet. So, I guess you'll just have to wait. What have I been doing all day you ask? Well this morning I was at my mom's helping with her garage sale. Then I came home. Got baby and husband ready to go out. I stopped at the store got some cat food for ...

Oh geez. I am really really liking the sound of this band. I've had their songs stuck in my head for about 3 days now, and its too the point where its the background music for my dreams at night. And then I watch the videos, and I can't help but stare at the lead singer. I'm enamored with something about his body movements and facial expressions. The thing about it that makes me sad ...

What to blog about today....
Well I'm liking how my story is going so far. I just wish I had more time to write it out. Don't worry, I'm going to keep plugging away at it. I can't help but wonder how many people read it though. I do get a lot of folks who tell me in person that they read my blog or check out my site on a regular basis. But no ...

Xalay was laying on the medical table, listening to the words of the Paelana nurse, Sarandin. Lycius was losing his patience. His healer - his BEST healer, was refusing to give medical help to his best friend. What could she possibly be risking? "What are you talking about, Sarandin?" Xalay held out her hand, palm up and whispered, "Sarandin, stand up. There's no need for you to bow to me. We are but women, regardless ...

Well, I had plans of doing another installment of The Girl with Red Hair and Sapphire Eyes. However, I was trying to figure out what the heck my password is to my XiaoyuHibbard twitter account. It's one I haven't used since 2008 or 2009 and for the life of me I can't remember what the password was or what email address I used on the darn thing! Ahhhhh.
So I've spent I don't know how ...

Hi there!
So I thought I would give a little update about what the heck I'm doing with the Red Haired Girl with Sapphire Eyes story. Please understand it is by no means perfect. And it is an incredibly rough draft. I'm basically just sitting down at my computer and typing the story directly into my blog as it happens in my head. Consequently some things probably won't make sense or I will need to ...

Xalay woke up with a start as cold water doused her face and body. She sputtered and coughed water that had gone down her throat and into her airways. She reached to wipe her face and then quickly became aware of the fact that she couldn't. She opened her eyes, and realized she'd been strung up by her wrists from a pipe across the ceiling of a small and dingy room, a cellar. She was ...

She sat on a large boulder just at the edge of the forest on her property which shared borders with her friend Lycius' compound. The smell of night was beginning to enter the air, as the sun began to dip below the horizon turning the sky into a magnificent scene of reds, oranges, and pinks.
The cacaphony of bull frogs, crickets and owls echoed all around her. The sun's last evening rays glinted off Xalay's ...

- Blogging Every Day Is Difficult!

Hi There:
So I've realized just how difficult it is to blog everyday when you actually have a life. Ha! I've had the most difficult time trying to figure out what the heck to talk about each night hence the reason why I have been getting these up so late. But the other reason has been that all week long I've been extremely exhausted or haven't felt well so I've been laying down to sleep ...

Yay!!!! Today has been a pretty good day. I'm finally getting to do some relaxing after about a month of straight working. I still have some commissions left to finish, but I'm starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel at least. Ha ha.
It will be slightly short lived though as I start some more classes in mid June. But if I can get my commissions done before then it'll be ...

Hey there!
Working on a lot of projects right now.... among them are a new original character. Not entirely sure what all I'm going to do with this character, but I'd like to do something along the lines of Hello Kitty or Emily the Strange. I'm not sure I want to go as far as creating story books for this character, we'll just have to see. I might do something like that.
Other projects going ...

Wow it took me a looooooong time to finish reading this book. Which is incredibly sad considering it's not that thick of a book. But again like I said, I have all those pesky obligations like a job, and family, and children, and art commissions, and trying to get better because I was sick.
Anyhow, what are my feelings on this book. Well, first I ...

Ghengis: Birth of an Empire is a book that I just finished listening to. I seem to have much better luck with that rather than trying to steal time to read. With listening to a book I can do a couple of things at once...such as feeding a small child. Ha.
Anyhow, this book is based on actual history. Overall I loved this book. Though it is definitely a bloody affair. But whenever you ...

So, one of the readers of my blog suggested that I should read the book The Shack. It's a Christian book. I was under the impression at first that it was fiction according to some of the reviews that I had read, and then I finally ordered the book via OhioLINK and received it last week. I've gotten through the forward and it does not appear to be a fiction. Either way that's alright, it ...
