It's amazing to me how quickly the year has gone by in some ways and yet in other ways it seems like it has taken forever. What do I mean by that? Well, in one way I am amazed that 2011 is nearly over and we are already going to be celebrating Thanksgiving this week. In another way it seems like I have had my son as a two year old for a really long time. Don't get me wrong I like these years where he's still my little boy and he's a very cute 2 year old. But he also has his tantrums and his refusal to start potty training. Ha ha.
I just got him off the bottle as long as no one thwarts my efforts AGAIN! I had him off for a good two weeks and then I found out that my husband had given him a bottle two nights in a row and my mom had been sneaking them to him too. I was not happy about this. He still occasionally asks for a bottle so i'm kind of suspicious. But I haven't give him any. And he's been going to be without them. I am just really looking forward to when there will be no more bottles and no more diaper changing.
I have some other news too but you're going to have wait a little bit before I reveal it. I need to make sure that its actually going to go through before I announce it. But in the mean time I've been trying to come up with some idea to revamp my website again. I think this blue-gray color is really pretty but not the greatest for reading. So I'm trying to come up with a new scheme. I'm just not certain what that new scheme is going to be yet. I also think my website is kind of plain looking. I would like to make it look a little more .... outrageous maybe? I'm also working on a new body of work to put in my portfolio on here. I want to really stretch my limits and go into things that outside of my comfort zone while still improving on the techniques that I'm already comfortable with. What does all that mean? I haven't the slightest idea. I just know I'm itching to make some art. Art for me, not necessarily something that is a commission. I should have a little bit of break coming up starting January. If I'm lucky. :)
