WoW Weddings!?!

You know, this is why I love Yahoo News. Because only Yahoo would do a new story on people getting married via game-play. For instance getting married on World of Warcraft. Now I think I'm allowed to comment on such things because I used to play WoW. I don't anymore because it was way too easy to miss out on real life.
This article is not the greatest article. But it did have some mighty nifty photos. One couple met online playing WoW and decided to get married, first on WoW and then later in real life. Oh and by the way there's an age different between the two of them and one lived in the UK and the other in Israel. Now the thing that I find awesome all-be-it weird, she fashioned her wedding dress off the dress her character wears in WoW. Seriously.
The other nifty photo in this article was the wedding cake, "For the Horde!" That's right WoW folks. You should check it out. It was pretty nifty looking.
What do I think about this? At some point I think you need to actually step away from the computer and meet people IRL!!!! Hopefully before you decide to marry them? I know several folks who met online (in chat not playing games ) and did wind up striking up a romantic relationship and getting married. Some it worked out, others it didn't. I suppose its not much different that any other relationship. But I still am leery of such things. Only because the internet gives you the ability of anonymity. You can make the other person believe anything about you.
So for those of you folks considering marrying your WoW mate, please do yourself a favor. Meet them first!!!! The link to the article is below. Enjoy.
