So it's Sunday, and it is my birthday, and I've turned 30. I kind of felt since I haven't had a whole lot of time to blog that I should at the very least do an entry for today.

What is it about reaching that point where you've gone through another decade of your life? When I turned 10 and 20 I didn't really give the idea much thought or weight. But now that I'm turning 30 I'm starting to. I have things like gray hair that I try to find ways to conceal. My knees pop every time I stand up after playing on the floor with my children. I look back and I try to evaluate the goals that I had set up for myself and decide which ones I completed successfully, which ones I did not complete so successfully, and which ones that I haven't even come close to.

One of my biggest problems is I tend to get disheartened about the ones that I didn't complete and forget about the ones that I did entirely. This is why I have my lovely husband who reminds me "you may not have completed everything you set out to do by 30, but you haven't done a half bad job with what you did complete."

Hope you all had a great weekend. If you haven't noticed I posted a new art commission that I just completed, yes on my birthday - deadlines are deadlines.
