Hello Boys and Girls!
I was just wondering how your December is going? I think this is actually the first semester that I've had where I was sad to see it end. I took a playwriting class for fun this time around plus it fulfilled my writing intensive requirement, but I have one class left to go as this is finals week, and I'm honestly sad to see that it is ending.
I'm hoping that my next semester's classes aren't going to be horrible, but I'm not really taking any "fun" classes so to speak. I'm about 7 classes away from my Associate degree in Internet and Multimedia Computer Tech. So I'm looking to graduate with that degree at the end of 2011. Then I'll be working on finishing up the 2 + 2 Bachelor in Technology.
Let's see what else is going on? Well, my son's birthday is coming up. We are going to have his party this weekend. And then it will be Christmas week! I'm not prepared for it all, sadly. We kept having troubles with needing to fix my car, then my husband's car, and then my car again. Shees. It's kind of interesting though, I've noticed a lot of abandoned cars on the side of the road going to and from work, and then on the window they have that green sticker that tells them they have x number of hours to have the car removed before it will be towed for them or something like that.
I guess it is a sign of the times really. So many people in Ohio are struggling. No jobs, no wages, they go on welfare because they genuinely need to. And even if you take on two part time jobs, sometimes it just isn't enough to pay the bills. I keep hearing the news channels on tv saying that the economy is turning around, but it doesn't appear to have done so in Ohio. At least not in Youngstown, Warren, Niles area. I keep wondering when the people of this area are going to be given a break. Some kind of turn around that makes things turn out okay for them - for us.
Hey, if you are in the Warren area and are looking for something fun to do this weekend, head over to Kent State Trumbull Theatre. They are doing the Best Christmas Pageant Ever this year. I saw it last weekend with my daughter and we had a lot of fun. Several of my classmates are actually in the play. I did the artwork for the advertising and display. So check it out please! It's this Friday and Saturday at 8pm, and Sunday at 3pm. The number is 330-675-8887 for reservations.
Hope your week is going well. If you are currently getting dumped on with buckets of snow like me, please try to stay warm, and drive safe. I'll be back on here soon, and with any luck lots of new art to post.
~Always Allyson :)
