Cage the Elephant woes

So no one thought to tell me that they were touring in Ohio this month!!!!!!!! Oh I'm such a sad sad sad child. I would have loved to see them! But no. I'm a loser who didn't realize they were touring right now cause I usually don't think about that kind of stuff. And they were in Pittsburgh too, still didn't find out about it until like 5 minutes ago. Grr. I really really like their music. In fact I haven't really gone to see any of the bands that I like in concert. And there's a couple reasons for that. I usually just don't have the time or ability to go. But the other thing is I secretly get nervous that they are going to be absolutely awful in concert and that I'll be really disappointed because it won't be as good as what I hear on the radio or the CDs that I have. This happened with P!nk. I don't really much care for her music now, but her first and second CD I liked. Then she did some performance on TV for the MTV awards or something like that ... can't remember, and she was absolutely awful and off key. And I felt really bad for her. But at the same time I was like man, if she can't sing in person she's not much of a performer. And I pretty much lost interest in her after that. And it just kind of ruined her music for me. I'm nervous that will happen with other bands that I like. And yet, I've watched Cage the Elephant doing live shows on youtube and they were actually pretty decent. Other ones that I would be interested in seeing are Seether (they have one coming up in September around here that I think I'm going to...we'll see,) Linkin Park, Evanescence. Those are pretty much the ones that I've been wanting to see for awhile now. Well that's all for today's blog. August is almost done. I can't say that I'm going to continue blogging every day, but I will continue to do at least one post a week. I need to start doing way more art for the site. So we'll see what we can come up with. This upcoming semester is really exciting for me, and that is because I'm taking a playwriting course! Yay! I've been waiting to take this class for something like 4 or 5 years. It always conflicted with my art classes. But I'm not taking an art class this semester so I'm able to do. Yay! Have a great night. I hope your weekend was awesome.
