Hey there!

Working on a lot of projects right now.... among them are a new original character. Not entirely sure what all I'm going to do with this character, but I'd like to do something along the lines of Hello Kitty or Emily the Strange. I'm not sure I want to go as far as creating story books for this character, we'll just have to see. I might do something like that.

Other projects going on, I'm doing a logo for a new website. Can't really give any details on it because it's not my website. So you will probably hear more about that in the future.

Also doing some art for a Snow White and the Seven Dwarves play, the Princess and the Frog, and Oliver! These of course are plays that will be done at Kent Trumbull Theatre. They just held the auditions for it this week. And the competition is tough! Over 100 kids showed up! Pretty amazing. More news to follow on that soon.

Unfortunately I decided not to submit to that contest. I'll do something like that in the future but I have some other things to focus on right now. For instance my class that will be ending in about 3 weeks. It's been a really good semester. I've learned a lot. Pulled my hair out a lot. But I still enjoyed the experience. One of our projects is working on a sketchbook journal type thing. I've already uploaded some of the drawings that I did in it on this site. Keep your eyes peeled for more. I'll probably be doing that really soon. Maybe even today.

I literally worked on my sketchbook for at least 10 hours this weekend. I thought I would have more drawings to show for it! But I don't because I've been working on little details which take a lot of time to make them look right. And when you're working in pen and ink you can't really correct if you make a mistake, you just have to find a way to make it work.

Well, hopefully this entry wasn't too boring. It was more nuts and bolts than anything else!

Once again, thanks to all who've checked out my site. Thanks to those who decided to follow me on twitter, or become a fan on facebook! I really appreciate your support. I am currently looking to do some more commissions. Please take a look at my galleries page to see the kind of artwork I do. If you aren't sure, send me an email which you find on my Contact page. And I can let you know if what you're looking for is something in my genre.

Thanks again. I hope you have a fabulous day.

~Always, Allyson
