my obsession

So, I probably had about 20 ideas to blog about since the last time that I blogged. Or at least I thought they were great ideas until I actually sat down to write about them and then I didn't want to. Plus the other thing that I kept noticing was I would have something interesting happen, and then I would hurry up and run here and blog about it. And then I would turn around and attempt to have a conversation with one of the few friends I have, and they would say, I already know about this story because you blogged about it.
Well damn. There goes my conversation.
And then I got to be apprehensive about iming people because I kept running into that same problem of they already knew what I was talking about because I'd blogged about it. So I quit iming people for like over a month.
So, then I started to get a little apprehensive about blogging. And I was thinking maybe I'm blogging too much. But I'm only blogging about once a week. Well shoot my life must not be that interesting. And then I thought well maybe I should pick a topic and keep up with it all month long like I used to do with the music lyrics etc. And then I thought I'm taking 3 classes right now, I don't have that kind of time!
So, I've been vexed....by myself and the decisions...here it comes.... blog or not to blog; that is the question. Ahhhhhh.
So, here I am blogging about nonsense that has nothing to do with what I titled this one.
My latest obsession. I'm somewhat ashamed to admit. But I've been watching the Food Network. Not those stupid how to cook your meal in 30 minutes shows. But shows like Ace of Cakes, and Challenge and Chopped. Why? Cause the first one is about artistically done cakes and Duff is a moron sometimes but at least he's funny. And with the Challenge and Chopped shows, its a bunch of people who get together to make a cake or some other concoction with a secret ingredient and they only have x number of minutes to complete it and the grand prize for the winner is $10,000! EVERY TIME. $10,000!!!! And for what....a hamburger, a cake, macaroni and cheese! And I sit here on my couch, staring at the screen, my mouth watering for things I will never taste and $10,000 I'm not going to win because I'm not in the competition! But in the back of my mind I think, I'd like to be. I could be. It'd be interesting to be. I'd be totally out of my league because I know nothing about baking cakes or decorating them. And yet.....$10,000. Hmmmmm.
So, that is my latest obsession. And considering making my own pastry something or another and packaging them in pretty little cellophane things and selling them to somebody for something and making money for something.
Are any of you guys interested in these kinds of shows? Have you tried anything like what you've seen? Why are you interested in them? Would you buy pastry things from me if I wrapped them in pretty little cellophane things? Inquiring crazy minds (mostly just me) want to know!
