Walking tall

Hey!

It's December 19! One year ago I was in the hospital today getting gutted like a fish! And then over - drugged!

I don't recommend it. Although the end result was good. I got my handsome baby Leonard out of the deal. Though in some ways I'm not sure I can still call him my baby anymore because he turned 1 today!.

He got a lot of cool gifts. He had a blast with his cake. I'll be loading them shortly. And he walked all over the house and absolutely loved it!

I'm so proud of him. The kids we invited seemed to have a good time too. Riley was here, her cousins Sarah and Julie, Aunt Molly, my mom-in-law Brenda, my mom, Tim, pretty girl (aka Thereza) and her daughter Olivia.

Everyone got along together well. Present time was crazy hectic because all the kids were "helping" Leonard open his gifts. He was more interested in the birthday card he'd opened. Ha ha. But once we got the toys out of the boxes....he played with the boxes. Once we HID the boxes he noticed, "Hey! Toys!"

The bummer about the day was that Thom woke up sick. He had shivers and chills, and a temp of 101. So he missed alot of the party.

I baked a couple tombstone pizzas, and I made a veggie pizza, plus we had chips and pop.  Overall I think the party turned out really well. But I'm exhausted. And I have to do this all over again in a few weeks for Riley. I don't know that we're going to have a Christmas party ever again considering I have to have birthday parties so close to this time of year. It's kind of funy, I had to mentally make notes that this wasn't Christmas, and resist the urge to put the presents under the tree but instead put the presents on the present table I had set up in the kitchen.

Well, that's all I have for now. I will have pictures real soon. My camera of course went dead. Which I didn't realized or I would have been charging it the night before. But Tim remembered to bring his camera so he took pictures instead. He said he would email me the pics on Monday. So keep an eye out. I'll have them posted soon.
