Riley's Screening

I thought since I told you guys about Riley's screening test for kindergarten I should let you know how she did.
She went into the classroom with the teacher Miss Stiver, and the test covers six sections of literacy. Things like rhyming, finding the picture that starts with the sound, identifying letters, seeing how many she can identify in a minute, etc.
The whole test took about twenty to thirty minutes. The teacher seemed very happy with Riley. She said it was cute that she would ask her to please repeat the question and then answer. Out of the sections she got all the possible points you can get. There were 29 possible points, she got them all. She did have a little confusion with d and b. And a little trouble remember u. But just the lower case ones. Miss Stiver said that Riley was right on target.
Riley was disappointed that she didn't get stay all day. Ha ha. But Thursday is going to be her last day at preschool. Riley had the idea of buying a cake for her class. So we went out and did that tonight. The bakery wasn't open, so I bought some icing to write Good Luck Riley on the cake.
She is looking forward to tomorrow, but she has mentioned that she will miss Miss Martha.
Friday is her orientation day. Thom and I took off the whole day for it. I'm looking forward to it also. I didn't have kindergarten in a public school, so I'm kind of curious to see what this is going to be like for her. I'm also looking forward to having a short week.
Some other news....
Leonard seems to have a cold. I'm not sure if he got the cold first or if I did, but we both do have a cold. Which kind of sucks. he's been having troubles sleeping through the night. But last night I kept him up an hour later than usual, and he slept all night. But because I was sick, I didn't really sleep well. Tonight I waited until 9:30, but he was having troubles getting to sleep even with me rocking him. So I laid him down, and got him a small bottle of water which helped to calm him down I think.
