Harajuku Girl: By Allyson
I knew about them way before Gwen Stefani publicized them!!!!! I found out about them by looking through guide books for Japan and found photos of them inside. So that's where the inspiration for this piece came from. It's done on Watercolor paper, 18"x24." The medium is chalk pastel. It's the first time I had ever used chalk pastel, and I was pretty pleased with the results. This also appeared on the front cover of ICON magazine.
